Manali is a great place and will probably be much cheaper to travel to and stay. Also less distances to travel for local sightseeing.Leh is like visiting a different planet. Much higher altitude than Manali, like a high altitude desert. Lots of monasteries and 2 different high altitude lakes. Distances are much more for seeing the sights around.
