1. Kinnaur Kailash
Kinnaur is regarded as a mystical land, a realm of fairy tales and fancies, with a breathtaking landscape of lush green valleys, orchards, vineyards, snow-capped summits, and freezing desert mountains. Kinnaur has a diverse range of flora and wildlife. The culture and language are distinct from those found in the rest of the state. 2. Trekking to Chakka
At Chaka, an adrenaline-pumping adventure awaits you! The Chaka peak, at 15000 feet above sea level, is an incredible hike up the hill following a gurgling water channel.
3. Suicide Point
Suicide Point, as the name implies, is a deadly trench with steep vertical cliffs. A walk to this site, located near Kalpa, will take you through lovely apple orchards.
4. Kothi
It is an excellent location for art and architectural enthusiasts. Kothi is an old town near Reckong Peo where you can see a unique style of temple construction set against the majestic Kinner Kailask Peak and beautiful green forest.
5. Kamru Fort
This fort is an excellent spot to get a sense of the past’s artistic legacy. It is now a Hindu shrine dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Kamakhya Devi.
Best time to visit Kalpa, Himachal Pradesh
During the warmer months of April to June, Kalpa is a great area to visit. However, the best time to visit Kalpa is from September to October if you want to sample the famed Kinnaur Apples and see the visually stunning flowering apple orchards during the harvesting season.
Summer Season (April-June): Summer is the greatest time to visit Kalpa. The weather in Kalpa is good during this time, with temperatures ranging from 8°C to 24°C. During these months, the sky is clear, making it the ideal time to admire the Kinnaur-Kailash range.
Monsoon Season (July-September): From July to September, the Kinnaur district receives moderate to high rainfall. The route going to Kalpa becomes highly prone to landslides because to the unpredictable and severe rainfall. During the monsoons, however, with its pure atmosphere and rich green terrain, this location becomes a photographer’s dream.
